The real basis of people’s belief that Gita was sermonized in the battlefield of Kurukshetra by Shri Krishna to Arjuna is the description of the battle between Kauravas and Pandavas in ‘Mahabharat’.
But no unbiased person who reads the epic ‘Mahabharat’ available today can substantiate that the stories regarding birth of Pandavas and Kauravas are based on historic facts, since they are obviously unnatural.
Further, all impartial researchers believe in the fact that originally ‘Mahabharat’ was not in its present form, but in the beginning its name was ‘Jay’, and it contained only eight thousands verses. Later it was named ‘Bharat’, and then ‘Mahabharat’.
The number of verses has increased to about on lakh today. It means that today there are thirteen verses in place of one verse before. In these circumstances who can solve the puzzle? None other than the ‘Bhagwan’ of Gita can really unravel the truth. Therefore we will tell what God has revealed after re-incarnation. It is essential to understand these secrets in order to grasp the essence of Gita.
BATTLE AGAINST VICES
God has revealed the invaluable knowledge of Gita in order to make man pure, viceless, virtuous, equanimous and meditative. God has given the sword of Gyan (divine knowledge) to annihilate yoga, to make us victorious over the sense organs and even sleep through spiritual powers.
Lets try to understand the real aspect of Gita. It is an inadvertent folly of author that he has linked Gita with the violent battle, and thus, in fact, insulted Gita, the benevolent Mother.
WAS GITA SERMONIZED AT THE END OF DWAPAR YUGA?
In order to understand the truth of Gita it is necessary to know when this knowledge was given. All people know that Kaliyuga come after Dwappar Yuga.
In Kaliyuga, it is believed that three quarters of the religious values are lost. In the light of this fact, if you think, you will find that to believe that God has given Gita Gyan at the end of Dwapar is equivalent to saying that God has established an age of irreligiousness, devilishness and all-round decline of values, instead of establishing true religion i.e. righteousness.
With the re-establishment of religiousness after destruction of irreligiousness, the age of virtuousness and purity, the Satyuga or Golden Age should have come, and not Kaliyuga.
Further, the time for the great destruction of the humanity or destruction of irreligiousness is the end of Kaliyuga. It is true that God has imparted the knowledge – ‘Gita Gyan’ at the confluence of the end of Kaliyuga and the beginning of Satyuga called Sangam Yuga.
When Satyuga started after this great destruction, the creation should have been replete with all the celestial degrees. What is this contradiction in terms that those who revere Gita are, in fact, themselves defaming it by saying that Gita was sermonized at the end of Dwapar Yuga after which obviously Kaliyuga has come?
WHO HAD SERMONIZED GITA GYAN?
Now it is very essential to throw some light over the true identity of God – the Gita Sermonizer. Shrimad Bhagwad Gita available today has the picture of Shri Krishna wearing peacock feather on his crown. Hence, people at large believe that Gita Gyan was given by Shri Krishna wearing the crown decorated with peacock feather.
But such people have forgotten the basic instruction of Gita that the body (deh) and the master of the body (soul), are different entities, the precinct i.e. body (Kshetra) and the entity (soul) that uses the precinct (Kshetragya) are different entities, just as the term soul does not mean body, so also the term – ‘Bhagwan’ does not represent and embodied being.
You may now think, I God is not an embodied being having a crown with peacock feather, then the question arises, what is the personal form of God, which is different from this form. In order to understand this secret, it is necessary to know the form of the soul.
We should first understand that the soul’s form is just a point of light.
God is the Supreme among all the souls and hence, the Supreme Soul or God’s form too is a point of light, but this point of light is an Ocean of knowledge, peace, love and bliss. To many of the readers, this may seem to be strange at once, but this aspect can also be clarified by quoting verses from the Gita itself.
It is a matter of thinking that if God’s form was that of the peacock crowned Krishna, or any other embodied being, it would not have been necessary to say in Gita that Bhagwan (God) bestows the blessings of ‘divine insight’ (Divya Drishti) and through that alone He can be seen.
Therefore, remember, God’s form is a point of light, just like the form of souls, It is that form of God which is worshipped throughout Bharat in the form of ‘Shivling’.
This form of God is said to ‘Nirakar’ or incorporeal, as the point has no shape. The large idol of this point form of God is installed in Mecca by the name “Sang-E-Ashwad” which the Indians call “Mecceshar”.
In the Bible, this same point-form of God is mentions as “Jehovah”. It is clear that God, being Spiritual Father of all souls; His form is worshipped by other religions too. God’s self announced name is ‘Shiva’ because he is the benefactor of the whole universe. It is important and necessary to know that Shiva’s idol (Shivling) is totally different from the idol of ‘Mahadev or Shankar.
